Use this guide to understand the Refund Policy of web application QR API.
QR API’s standard policy for refunds is that no refunds will be made in regular cases. This includes cases such as:
- The automated QR Code generation requirement has ended and the user no longer need QR API’s services but have already paid in advance
- QR Code-related project did not turn out as per the expectations and the user is terminating the project and the QR API account but have already paid in advance
- QR API was not upto the expectations
To manage risk from the cases above, QR API:
- Allows user to try QR API free of cost for the first 20 API requests
- Allows user to test performance of QR API infinitely with watermarked QR Codes (i.e. without using API key)
- Provides user with flexibility to choose the period of subscription—monthly and annually—which can be choose as per the requirements
QR API will make a refund only in the following cases:
1. When a recurring payment is made because auto-renewal was active but the user did not intend to renew
While purchasing a subscription with QR API, auto-renewal is kept active by default. This is done so that the account and API key can remain active and API integration (generation of QR Codes) is not affected. However, at the time of purchase user is given the option to cancel auto-renewal. Also, cancel auto-renewal anytime via account settings.
However, we understand that sometimes there can be a delay in cancelling auto-renewal. In this case, user will automatically be charged. An email notification is sent to you whenever a recurring payment is made to renew your account.
If the user notify us in a timely manner that they did not wish to renew the account, QR API will make a full refund of last recurring payment if the following schedule is followed:
The refund will be made within 24 hours and user will receive the amount within 7-10 working days.
2. When the user upgrade to a higher plan, still have a specific period remaining from the previous subscription
It is possible that the user may wish to upgrade to a higher plan (Basic to Standard ,Pro, Enterprise) in between the existing subscription period.
In this case, we will calculate the remaining amount eligible for and offer a discount coupon of that amount. Use this coupon to deduct the amount from the new purchase (upgradation) you are making.
Alternatively, we can also extend the validity of the new subscription plan by a time period equivalent to the refund amount eligible for.
Note that the refund amount will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.

3. When you face recurring technical issues with QR API
It is possible to face technical issues with QR API that hampers QR Code generation. In such cases, reach out to our technical team at Support@qrapi.io and we will try our best to resolve the issues as soon as possible.
However, in the event that the issue is not resolved in a timely manner and generation of QR Codes is affected as a result, user can demand a refund.
Such cases will be dealt by the executive team and a decision will be made on a case-to-case basis.
